Royal Dragonfly Necklace
Classy and elegant describes this lovely delicate necklace! The focal piece is a Gold plated sterling Silver Dragonfly pendant. On each side are stunning faceted briolettes of Amethyst and Citrine. The clasp is also sterling silver. This dual silver and gold tone look is the result of a meticulous 11 part plating process that emulates the wax resist batik technique used to create traditional Balinese textiles. Every surface that remains silver must be carefully painted with a resist before plating and then removed. If the artist makes even a slight mistake while painting, the entire plating process must be repeated from the beginning. Handmade in Bali where master silversmiths have patiently hand painted each pendant using a resist technique to selectively plate the motif. From start to finish each piece takes roughly 4 hours to plate! Dragonfly symbolizes the Power of Light.
