*SOLD* Simplicity Bangle
This unique asymmetrical design bangle is made with heavy gauge Silver wire covered with a great collection of metal African Trade Beads including african copper rounds, african brass rounds and copper and sterling silver twisted wire beads. The clasp is hand formed and hammered silver. This bangle has been oxidized to give it an aged appearance. Copper is an excellent energy conductor and sends and amplifies thoughts. It can open the heart center and thereby create total awareness of the self and generate a capacity for tremendous psycho-spiritual self-confidence and growth. Physiologically it is believed that Copper helps all forms of rheumatism, arthritis, and disorders of the intestinal tract. Copper also strengthens the Pineal and Pituitary glands and increases flexibility of bone tissue such as ligaments, cartilages, and tendons. This can aid in the prevention of injury for those who are athletes. Energetically speaking, Copper is highly conductive and also activates the body’s electro-magnetic properties and sends and amplifies thoughts. Copper’s conductive energies are at the heart of it’s power, both physically and spiritually. Because this crystal metal doesn’t hold a charge, but instead, sends or conducts it on, it is a very useful for projecting and directing energy and healing work. It’s intriguing to think about how these beads have survived a hundred or more years of wear and the travel through at least three continents. Today these trade beads are more popular and collectible than ever. Thousands of these beads are in private collections around the world. The African Traders are having to go deeper and deeper into Africa to find more of these beads and many styles which were readily available just 5 years ago are no longer seen today. Please expect some irregularity in the size and shape of these beads, as they are all hand made and traditionally somewhat rustic in nature. Also some chips and pitting are to be expected due to the age of these beads and the many miles they’ve travelled. Bangles are worn by people around the world and are simply a less flexible piece of jewelry worn around the wrist. In many cultures, especially in the Arabian Peninsula and in South Asia, bangles have evolved into various types for different occasions. Bangles are part of traditional Indian jewelry and are usually worn in pairs, one or more on each arm. They are made of numerous precious as well as non-precious materials such as gold, silver, copper and bronze. Most Indian women prefer wearing either gold or glass bangles or both in combination. These bangles are made with a heavy 12 gauge silver and have some flexibility but are very stable. Once you’ve worn bangles it’s hard to go back to a regular bracelet. They’re incredibly comfortable and I rarely leave the house with less than two of them on my wrist and often I wear 3 at a time! Fits wrist up to 61/4 inches.
