*SOLD* Healing Heart Necklace

A choice and rare snowy White Sea Glass Heart is the centerpiece of this beautiful necklace! We found it on the shores of the beach in Lahaina, Maui last spring and I've been saving it for this time of the year! What a wonderful find! On top of the Sea Glass is an organic little sterling Silver heart with a tiny spiral in the corner. Resting above the heart is a lovely little stone of deep lavender Phosphosiderite. The pendant hangs on a strand of black Greek leather, known for it’s smooth finish, consistent color and extra soft & supple texture from the very first time it’s worn. The crimps and lobster clasp are also sterling silver.

Beach or Sea Glass is natural found glass that has been tumbled by shifting sands and the tumbling ocean waves and tossed back up onto the beach to be discovered by those patient enough to hunt for it. It resembles precious gems with its frosted surface and rounded edges and stunning colors. Important features are both the colors of the glass (as some are more rare) and the amount of total wear and rounding of its surface. Discovered in the shifting tides these well-worn glass pieces can take several decades to develop the soft round edges and at least 50 to 100 years for a thick piece to become the treasure we hunt for. The use of Sea Glass in jewelry has increased as theses lovely gems become more scarce. I’ve found it almost a meditation to sit in one place as the sun warms my back and the scent of the clean ocean air soothes my soul….watching as each wave brings me new treasures to discover.

Phosphosiderite is unusual in that it is an iron mineral, and these seldom show purples, though it also comes in more usual red, brown, or yellow colors too, as well as colorless. Phosphosiderite is an excellent healing stone, so it's often called the "Stone of Healing and Hope". It is used to assist with finding balance and stability, which can help one in everyday life as well as in healing. Phosphosiderite is also used to access and work with past life memories, and the third eye chakra.

Silver can be used as a mirror to the soul and help you see yourself from the outside without judgement. It is used often with gemstones because it’s able to both attract and retain those qualities that are emitted by the stone and provides a steadying influence for the jewel.
